Green Week in April brought to the fore the importance of protecting the environment, through educational activities dedicated to the little ones. In this context, Alka, in partnership with the Nature Talks Association, organized a series of free environmental workshops for primary school students in Bucharest.
Held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests, the workshops brought together over 500 students, who had the opportunity to explore essential topics related to protecting the planet, in an interactive and age-appropriate way.
Participants were actively involved in discussions and educational activities on topics such as:
- Air pollution – understanding the impact on health and the environment
- Food waste – ways to prevent and consume responsibly
- Separate waste collection – practical steps for sustainable behavior
- Energy efficiency – how we can save energy at home and at school
Each topic was supported with the help of specially built models by the Nature Talks Association team, designed to facilitate learning through play and visualization.
We are happy to be part of this program for the third consecutive year, because environmental education gives children a direct connection with the world around them and raises awareness about the problems that affect the environment in which we all live and on which we depend.
Alka continues to take an active role in promoting environmental education, being a key element within our social responsibility strategy.
Together, we contribute to a more sustainable environment for future generations!
