The Nature Talks Association in partnership with Alka Group, the National Museum of Romanian Literature and La Fântâna launched this summer the ECO Summer School 3rd Edition project, a free environmental education program, aimed at children aged 8-12 in Bucharest.
Alka Group pays special attention to both employees and their families, so one of the workshops was specially dedicated to the children of Alka employees. They learned how to protect the environment through an environmental education workshop. 😊
Through unique experiences and examples, the children learned how to separately collect several types of waste and how to prepare them for recycling, how to reduce plastic consumption and eliminate food waste, the sources and effects of pollution and what they can do to reduce this phenomenon.
At the end of the workshop, the children learned how to plant and care for plants.
We thank the parents who took time out of their free time to get involved in this ecological education initiative, giving their children the opportunity to learn how to protect nature!
Together, we contribute to a more sustainable environment for future generations. “We are a local manufacturer with a community of over 900 colleagues with whom we work every day for quality, innovation and performance. For almost 30 years, we have been creating products for Romanian tastes, we are well anchored in Romanian society and we care about what is happening in this society. We are proud to be part of this Eco Summer School program, because environmental education connects children with the world around them and raises awareness about the issues affecting the environment on which we all depend.” — Alka representatives
