We support increasing access to education for children in rural areas
Alka’s social responsibility concerns are channeled towards supporting the development of communities and we strongly believe that education is essential for their healthy and sustainable development.
We support the “Bread and Tomorrow” program, which aims to improve the education level of students in rural areas and reduce school dropout. We joined the program run by World Vision Romania, the largest NGO in rural areas, with the desire to bring a change in the lives of these children who drop out of school due to poverty. Let’s stimulate them to love school and learning in order to increase their school performance and increase their chances of continuing their studies.
The statistics are worrying, and the Bread and Tomorrow program was created for disadvantaged communities. It is aimed at primary school students, aged 6 to 11, and offers after-school services, which include a hot meal and two hours of educational activities and homework help. The effects are already visible in these communities, academic results have improved and the mood is harmonious where joy and happiness prevail during the time spent together.
We are happy to be with them and bring sweet joy to these wonderful children. More details about the project can be found on the World Vision website and here you can see some of the children who are part of the program.
