On June 7, we had the honor of hosting a special group of visitors to the Alka factory in Ploiești. Thus, over 40 high school students from rural communities in Iași County, participants in the “I want to be in 9th grade” program and the “Rural youth, agents of change” project.
For the third consecutive year, we support this program, organized by the World Vision Romania Foundation!
During the three factory tours organized, the students had the opportunity to observe and understand the entire production process, from the entry of raw materials into the factory, to the complexity of the production, packaging and storage stages. In addition to all this, they participated in educational activities and vocational counseling sessions to help them in their professional future.
In addition, they participated in interactive discussion sessions with Alka employees. The goal was to provide them with valuable perspectives on various careers and the importance of education in achieving professional success.
For many of them, this experience was a source of inspiration and encouragement, showing them that, regardless of the challenges encountered, success is accessible through education and determination. We remain dedicated to supporting these valuable initiatives, recognizing that investing in the education of today’s youth is the key to a better future for all.
These two days of “mini-trip” were superb. Bucharest fascinated and surprised me a lot. The most superb thing was the visit to the Alka company! It was clear that they are very hardworking and very serious and I liked the most when they showed us how the snacks are produced! – Denise
