In recent days, Alka had the opportunity to join a large-scale humanitarian effort, organized by the Scheherazade Foundation, in support of communities severely affected by the floods in Galați County.
Our contribution consisted of donating over 1,200 kg of salty snacks and biscuits, helping to complete the food packages for families in need. This initiative had a significant impact and was well received by the local communities and authorities involved.
Alka’s involvement in this project is clear evidence of our commitment to actively support our social responsibility and to come to the aid of communities in critical situations.
The severe floods that hit Galați County caused the destruction of numerous households and local infrastructure, isolating many villages and limiting access to essential resources such as water, food and hygiene products. Many people have lost their homes, belongings and livelihoods, forcing them to evacuate and find temporary shelters.
The situation is even more difficult for those who were already living in precarious conditions and who, as a result of this disaster, have lost everything they had.
In this context, humanitarian aid becomes crucial to support people who have lost not only material goods but also the safety of their homes. Our efforts contribute to restoring balance in these devastated communities and providing real support to those who need it most.
